I tried to sync my palm with my laptop tonight, but was having some problems:
Symptom: After selecting InfraRed in the hotsync menu, I would get the following message - Error accessing the IR port….
Solution: Turn your palm on and align the infrared ports. You should get the Wireless link icon in your system tray. Right-click that tray iconand select Options. Click on the Image Transfer tab and uncheck the option to use the wireless link to transfer images. Hit OK and this fixed it for me!

See - this was my original goal with this site. That I would have some useful documentation on here for others to find. Unfortunately, this seems to be about the only useful thing I’ve posted in the year and a half I’ve had this up. I shall have to move into the next phase of the site, which includes useful information…
