Family Address Book

I recently read that Mark is thinking about implementing a family address book. This is a really cool idea and something I wouldn’t mind doing. Of course, I can hardly keep my web sites maintained, so that might be something for another year…

bawx$ tail Rubi Con

I’ll start with the end of Rubi Con and work my way back. After an exciting and entertaining five hour drive home, we pulled up in to the garage at work. At that point, I had a vivid image of my car keys in the drawer next to my bed in the hotel room. Yes folks, I left my car and house keys back in Detroit. While dumbling for my spare, I also happened to drop my camera. So now the battery compartment does not shut properly. Nevermind the fact that I was pretty tired from the night before. Thankfully, the hotel was able to find my keys and they will hopefully be mailing them back to me all in good time. Hrrm…need to go forage for some food for now. I took a nice long nap when I got home and just woke up. Very hungry.

Rubi Con

Hello from somewhere near Detroit, MI. I’m up here for Rubi Con and have already been to a couple presentations. It seems they save Friday for the newbie speakers. ;) And that is all I have to say about that for now. More later!

Mller Lite Girls

Oh, and by the way - the phrase “miller lite girls” has now surpassed “alpine cda-7894″ as the #2 search phrase bringing people to my pages. Of course, that doesn’t take into account the other incantations of the 7894 name, which would make it #1. Regardless, the #1 search phrase at this time is “pics of snow”. Unfortunately…that brings people to a picture of my car in the snow…probably not what they were looking for ;).

Sweet Tea!

Via Dan, it seems Georgia has a bill pending to make it illegal for a restaurant to not offer Sweet Tea to patrons! Interestingly enough, it seems some dude, Rep. John Noel, D-Atlanta, got the idea at a restaurant in Chicago when he wasn’t able to order sweet tea. Admittedly,

Noel acknowledged the bill was an attempt to bring a little humor to the Legislature. But he said he wouldn’t mind if it became law.

New Wheels

As I mentioned recently, I’m looking for some new wheels. I’m having trouble deciding what kind I want to get, though. A couple others I think I might like are the Voxx Forza’s and the RO_JA Neo Kruzz‘. I still can’t decide, though. I think I also mentioned that I like BMW’s star spoke 43’s…but I’m not sure I can get those in 18″. It’s going to take a while to find the right wheel…I ought to just save my money for something better, eh? ;)

Request: Anti-formmail Script

I’ve noticed some people attempting to access Formmail [cve.mitre.org] lately in an attempt to see if they can use it for spam purposes. I’m really considering writing my own script that takes their input and sends an alert to [law enforcement agency of choice] and cc’s the spammer on the email. While it may incite rage on the part of the spammer, it would fill me with a great sense of satisfaction. Sometimes I love being evil.

Sleep

Well I didn’t go to sleep the night before last for some obscene reason. Then I came home last night and literally passed out at 5:30 and slept until about 11, at which point I had a massive leg cramp. Bummed around for a couple hours and then made myself go to sleep again. It sure wasn’t that tough. ;) Now I’m all rested and ready to not fall asleep at work again!

Computers Suck

I’m trying to ghost my laptop so I can get it rebuilt at work, and I’m getting bad sector errors. Can’t they make computers more reliable? granted, they’re fairly reliable already, but disks always fail…bleh.
