I must apologize, I’ve been quite delinquent lately posting to my site. I guess that’s what happens when you’re hardly home and living out of a hotel/suitcase most of the time, though - other things begin to take precedence.

On a mildly interesting note, I only scored a 35.89744% on the Geek Test - a Major Geek. Which…I am, but there are so many higher levels of geekiness that I come nowhere close to.

I’ve seen the Matrix Reloaded twice now - I had to go see it a second time because I forgot to stay past the credits for the Revolutions trailer the first time. Let me tell you - watching it again has not cleared up any of the questions I had.

For now - I must leave you. An after-hours conference call for work is screaming my name. wa, hoo.

I suppose I should start writing down the different places I’ve been to so I can remember them.

Angelina’s Ristorante, at 3561 N Broadway, seems to be a great little place to go for dinner. I went the other night and one of the specials was catfish - it was absolutely delicious. One interesting note is that they brought the wine out in a juice-style glass. I mentioned this to somebody the next day and I was informed that that is the way some places will drink wine in Italy. The wine (I had a nondescript chandon) was also very good. I would say it’s moderately expensive, but worth it.

So I’m walking to the el the other day and I start to cross the street when all of a sudden I hear this thud and a horrible screeching noise. I looked around to see what was causing the noise and as I did I was an 18-wheeler finish passing under a bridge and various pieces of the bridge falling to the ground.

What had happened is that some contruction workers had set up some cones to redirect traffic. Apparently, they put them a little too close to one side of the street and the truck driver wasn’t paying attention and ripped open a good portion of the right side of his truck, while ripping down part of an angle brace on the bridge.

That’s been my excitement for the week.

I can already tell this week is going to be insane. Because of blackout dates, I will now probably have to fly out Thursday night. Not to mention I have three people I will need to meet for dinner this week. That’s Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday right there. So much for a relaxing week in town, eh?

Well I’m finally home again. You can’t believe how nice it is to be sitting out on my back porch with my legs thrown up over the railing and my laptop surfing over wireless waves. Travel isn’t bad and everything, but there’s nothing like being home again, for the first time in a while.

Wow - I’ve been a slacker this month on my blog. Perhaps that can be attributed to the fact that I’ve been doomed to Cleveland the entire month. yea…that could be it.

I’ve decided I want to revise my domain name. DCortesi is good and all, but I really don’t like my name being out there too much. Secondly, it’s just not creative or cool or catchy. I have no clue what to do for a new one, but am open to suggestion.

Come home, transfer clothes from suitcase to washer, washer to dryer, dryer to suitcase. Ahh, the life of a consultant. Can it get any better?
