The City
One theme that seems to be somewhat common since I’ve moved to the city - getting home at 4am. I certainly don’t mind, though. ![]()

I’m going to rant for a second —- I spent the first 23 years of my life in New York State and whenever I meet anyone from NYC and ask ‘where you from?’ they say “the city” — as if New York city is the only city in the State!! Now I come to IL and its the same thing — meet someone the other day from Chicago — where you from I say — ‘the city’ —- I thought are you kidding me?!
Just giving you a hard time D!

I live in O’fallon IL — wonder what kind of wierd looks I’d get if I start telling people I live in ‘the city’?! Though with my proxmity to St Louis, they’d probably assume that is where I live. It’s geographical discrimination!
