This post is to document every time my poor little box craters. Maybe I’ll be able to identify a trend or something…

We could also use a little of God’s Blessings relative to this MB!!!

All three of mine are now running just fine! The Alien was having a problem w/ cold boots but that seems to have been terminated .. don’t know why or how but it’s booted just fine the last two mornings!!
:>) … Maybe it had something to do with the single molex on the vc but it still had problems afterwards too. Who knows w/ these boards!!

Well .. The Alien still has a problem w/ cold boots. Otherwise, once the PS warms up and the the computer is running (I let it warm up booting by booting to A drive - primitive I know!) it’s ROCK solid. Verrrry strange. Me thinks my problem lies in the enormous draw on the PS due to my video card and then possibly due to all the HD’s (5!) I have connected PLUS possibly all those FANS I’m running to keep it KOOL (SEVEN (7!) plus one in the PS itself and of course those two BIG ThermalTake’s on the CPU’s!!!). That’s a total of 10 FANS!! The damn thing is levitating!!! What you think D??

This is a wonderful soundboard! Anyway … I found that THE PROBLEM was in FACT to do with my MEMORY MODULES!!!! Didn’t you mention that at one time D ?@#$%^?!!!! It seems that one must have all the same "CL" number for the memory modules (i.e. CAS latency). It seems that they all must be the exactly the SAME. I found this out via SisSoft Sandra when I ran the "Performance Tune-Up Wizard" .. it showed signifcantly different ranges at different frequencies for my memory modules. I changed back to my oringinal memory module configuration and whalla, whalla …. all is well. No more problems w/ cold boots or hanging up at times when warm for no apparent reason.

Well now…. It seems that we still had a few hangups now and then and guess what ?!@#$%^^& .. It turns out that one of my HD’s had an error on extended DFT’s (Seagate) but not on the Quick Test. So now we are SOLID for sure ——— I think ;>)

Computers are useless
